ABSORPTION TECHNICAL INFORMATON

Production Process

Absorptive surfaces consist of a copper strip or an aluminum strip that has been anodized on both sides. For mirotherm®, sunselect®, and mirosol® surfaces, three layers are then applied in a unique, continuous air-to-air PVD process: an infrared reflecting layer to ensure low thermal emission, and metal oxide absorption and anti-reflection layers to ensure the highest solar absorption while providing resistance to outside agents. For mirosol® TS and mirosol® WP, a black selective coating is directly applied as a lacquer to the anodized surface
